Too Cute!!!!!!!!!
God Bless
Thanks for sharing this pattern. Just whipped up a white one for my month old neighbor. I added a red crocheted heart to the side and she'll be wearing it on Monday with her Valentine's outfit! How are modifications made to the pattern to adjust for size for a 4mth old? I can read patterns pretty well for a beginner but certainly don't have any experience with altering patterns. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks again!
I love this pattern! It's easy to read and the finished product is too cute. Do you by any chance have a pattern for a bigger size(s)? Friends have seen the newborn version and I already have had several requests for bigger ones!
Thanks for the compliments! :D I have received quite a few requests for modifications for different sizes, but my crafting plate seems to be constantly overflowing! Some time soon (as in immediately following the next half a dozen projects), I'll set some time aside to do larger sizes. :)
I had the pleasure of coming across your blog while searching for a Newsboy Cap pattern to work up. I came across a handful but yours was the best by far!! It was so easy to follow. I have shared a link to your pattern on my blog as well as pictures of my finished product! Thanks so much for sharing!
Does the ch 2 at beginning of each round count as a half double crochet?
Thank you for your kind words, Warm 'n Fuzzies! :D
Lisa, no, the ch2 does NOT count as a hdc. (I personally don't like the gaps using a ch2 for a hdc leaves, though if you prefer to do it that way, be sure to make the necessary adjustments.) :)
Thank you so much for making this pattern available.
Do you happen to have a bootie pattern that would match?
Very cute! Just wondering where the seam should be. If I'm following your directions correctly, it seems like it ends up towards the front of the cap. Is this correct? Any info would be helpful. Thanks!
If I did my math right and you would like say a 6 month size starting with 15 hdc in the first row and then following the pattern (you should end up with a hat that has 44 stitches at the end instead of your 36) and the size should fit a older infant. HTH's
I just made this hat and it turned out beautiful!! Love the pattern, thank you!
